Essex FRS approached LearnPro Group with very little training content in traditional eLearning formats. They possessed PowerPoint and PDF content for training, presentations but only limited experience with staff-led modules and assessments. Essex FRS System at that time and had a ‘blended learning’ curriculum based on theoretical, classroom-based and practical incident ground training. Introduction of critical FRS e-Learning training content via the LearnPro LMS, system setup and system training. The L&D Department at Essex FRS opted for a ‘soft’ launch, with phased content creation introduced during the post-launch period, which is now ongoing as ‘business as usual’.
Over time, e-learning is replacing the ‘full sign-off’ based options that Essex FRS used previously, moving towards making all learning more individually assessable and certifiable. LearnPro has learned that this slower, more controlled or phased release process is correct for most organisations. While LearnPro Group provide training to cover all areas of the system, key administration personnel are often not always able to manage such change all at once, particularly if only limited resource is available at their side.
Essex FRS appreciated this time for their staff to get used to the new systems, with critical content items and basic functionalities being phased into the system over time. More recently. Essex FRS have invested in WorkforcePro, the pdrPro equivalent system for non-operational staff and are currently implementing the roll-out of the pdrPro Appraisals module across the organisation.
Essex FRS now have more than 1400 users, both operational and ‘green’ book staff, managing their training and compliance through pdrPro and the LearnPro LMS. These staff have access to around 120 e-Learning courses, that are fully integrated with their pdrPro Organisational Training and Compliance Management System.
