XVR Simulation had the honour of being selected as a Home Office tech partner at this year’s Security & Policing event in Farnborough, UK. As part of this, XVR developed a virtual scenario for the Live Immersive Experience hosted by the Joint Security and Resilience Centre (JSaRC), called CityWatch: Streets of Tomorrow, which addressed public safety challenges on urban streets.
Minister of State at the Home Office, The Rt Hon. Lord Hanson of Flint, visited the XVR stand for a demo of the new XVR On Scene 10. He expressed enthusiasm for the potential of VR in UK policing. He shared a personal connection to the cause, noting that his daughter – a police officer in Wales recently involved in a knife crime incident – could have benefited from virtual scenario training.

Lord Hanson was joined by Raed Arafat, State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Romania and a dedicated XVR user. He highlighted their plans to expand their simulation capabilities, including the development of a new training centre.
