West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service selects FireWatch as its new Cloud-based HRM and Rostering platform

London, UK – West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service (WYFRS) has selected FireWatch, from LearnPro Group, as its new Cloud‑based Human Resources Management, Rostering and Availability solution following an open and competitive Invitation to Tender (ITT) process.

The multi‑year contract will see FireWatch deployed to 1,500 staff across 40 sites, supporting WYFRS’ strategic modernisation programme and its commitment to delivering efficient, data‑driven, and resilient digital services. The solution will provide a fully integrated platform connecting HR, rostering, availability, training, and operational data across the organisation.

The WYFRS Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) department plays a critical role in supporting the organisation’s operational and strategic goals. As part of its future direction, the Service is investing in Cloud technologies, automation, data analytics, and integrated digital systems to enhance performance, security, and long‑term sustainability.

FireWatch supports this vision by providing a modern, Cloud‑native platform that delivers:

A fully integrated Cloud platform spanning HR, training, rostering, availability, and operational data
Accurate modelling of establishments and support for employees that hold multiple concurrent contracts, roles and working patterns
Integrated workforce, competency, and operational data
A ‘future‑ready’ platform supporting efficiency, resilience, and organisational growth

Comprehensive FireWatch Deployment

Core FireWatch HR functions include organisational structures, dynamic org charts, personal and contract details, automated payments, pension information, recruitment, and secure management of employee performance and return‑to‑work processes.

FireWatch supports operational planning and time management through live availability maps, station totals, resource redistribution tools, duty planners, multi‑pattern working, and flexi‑time, sickness, leave and TOIL workflows. Additionally, bi‑directional mobilisation APIs will exchange incident and availability data.

The WYRFS project includes deployment of the FireWatch Mobile App, SMS gateway for notifications and crewing exceptions, and a suite of Microsoft integrations, including automated account management via Microsoft Entra, Single Sign‑On, SharePoint Online document handling, and links to Outlook and To Do tasks.

Additional capabilities include Data Intelligence dashboards and APIs, an AI Chat Assistant powered by Microsoft OpenAI, a learnPro/pdrPro connector, and a standard payroll export and interface.
