XVR will provide South Wales Police with the opportunity to satisfy the outcomes of the Manchester Arena Enquiry and ensure our Officers have the confidence to manage a major incident effectively. Ultimately, this new learning tool will enable us to equip our staff to better serve and reassure our communities and provide a first-class service.
I absolutely believe you’ll be better off training with XVR, and I really see the added value for the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee.
XVR offers the ability to coordinate multiple trainees who are geographically separated from me, and reduces the hassle we face in conducting the training centrally in the academy.
We should not compare ‘live’ training against virtual simulation training. It is not possible to say which is better – a hammer or a screwdriver. Every tool serves a purpose, and the more tools we have in the toolbox, the better.
The XVR immersion scenarios were excellent and a safe and thorough test of what we had been taught. I also got a lot out of watching other people go through their scenarios.
