Make a difference to how emergency services train
Please be aware this position is based fully in the Netherlands. Read the Dutch vacancy here.
Do you have an affinity with the fire service, police, ambulance services or other emergency services? Do you enjoy combining technology, training and client advice? And are you just as comfortable speaking in front of a group as you are working with a client to find a solution?
Then we’re looking for you as a (Senior) Product Consultant at XVR, part of LearnPro Group.
As a Product Consultant, you’ll be a product specialist, adviser and trainer all rolled into one. You’ll guide clients through their whole journey with us, from a strong first product demonstration through to onboarding, training and making a success of the XVR simulation platform.
What will you be doing?
Pre client joining:
- Get to know each prospect’s sector, use case and way of working, and turn their needs into XVR applications.
- Design and deliver product demonstrations built around what each client actually needs, rather than following a set script.
- Support the Sales team as the product expert in client meetings, and answer detailed product and technical questions with confidence.
- Build up and maintain a library of demo scenarios and environments, and keep demo and tutorial videos up to date.
- Attend client events and trade fairs.
- Co-ordinate bespoke projects for scenarios and virtual environments.
- Work closely with Sales, Support and the 3D team.
Post client joining:
- Onboard, train and advise new clients, including face-to-face adoption training that fits their sector and size.
- Introduce clients to the XVR community website, support centre, monthly webinars, User Group Meeting and training workshops.
- Stay in regular contact with clients: quarterly check-ins with new clients, and a yearly health check with existing clients. This keeps XVR part of their everyday training.
- Brief clients on new releases and run refresher training, in person or online.
- Coordinate bespoke scenario and virtual environment projects delivered by our 3D team.
- Spot where clients could get more out of XVR and share those opportunities with Sales.
Across the role
- Deliver workshops and webinars, and attend client events and trade fairs.
- Pass on what you learn from clients to our Product and Sales teams to help shape what comes next.
- Keep clear records of client contact and check-ins.
- Work closely with Sales, Support and the 3D team.
Who are we looking for?
You’re client-focused, a strong communicator and proactive. You listen well, ask the right questions, and can explain complex possibilities clearly and with enthusiasm.
Ideally, you’ll have:
- A higher vocational education (HBO) level of working and thinking, or equivalent.
- Experience as a consultant, trainer, product consultant or similar, ideally in software, simulation or learning technology.
- Experience giving presentations, training sessions and software demonstrations, ideally tailored to each client’s needs.
- Experience of project-based work, including coordinating work delivered by a specialist team.
- Strong organisational skills, so you can manage a varied group of clients at different stages.
- A commercial mindset combined with a real focus on client success.
- Good spoken and written Dutch and English.
- German, or a willingness to learn it (a plus).
- Willingness to travel regularly, both nationally and internationally.
- An interest in virtual reality, simulation and serious gaming.
- Experience in the fire service, police, ambulance service or other emergency services, or in public sector training more widely. This is a strong advantage.
What do we offer?
A varied role in an international software organisation where technology and the world of emergency services come together. You’ll have plenty of freedom, responsibility and room to use your initiative.
This is a 12-month fixed term role to start.
20 days of statutory leave per calendar year
4 days of non statutory leave per calendar year
Annual holiday allowance of 8% of gross salary
Birthday day off
Employer participates 50% of the pension contribution.
Mobile phone, laptop & car allowance available
